The food-vendors food safety Shiny App was developed in conjunction with this website in June 2026.

It can be used to construct different food systems scenarios, where people are more or less likley to purchase food from small vendors and these vendors are more or less risky, and model the expected Food Borne Disease outcomes that result.

This Excel tool contains detailed financial statements customised to reflect the food vendor business model. Sections include: Profit & Loss; Balance Sheet (Assets & Liabilities), and Cash Flow. A fourth sheet contains derived ratios typically used in financial analysis.

The template is populated with archetypal values representing an Indian street food vendor, but these inputs can be substituted with local values as desired.
